Rooted in land, lineage, and wandering, my work lingers with what is left behind.

I invite you into the quiet,

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTIST

encounters

AIDAN JUNG (he/they)

with place, presence,
and the stories

embedded in the American
landscape.

Aidan Jung studied film production and photography at the California College of the Arts and the Pacific Northwest College of Art, graduating with a BFA in 2017. With over a decade of professional experience, their work spans directing, cinematography, photography, and creative direction across short films, music videos, and commercial campaigns. They are currently a director and visual effects artist at the San Francisco–based creative studio Ntropic, where they help to realize and produce visually driven, story-forward creative projects.

Alongside their film practice, Aidan maintains an active fine art photography practice rooted in hand-processed film and experimental printing. They are a member of the East Bay Photo Collective and the lead organizer of Daydream Darkroom, a photo collective dedicated to communal film development and analogue printing processes. Their photographic work has been exhibited internationally, with recent group exhibitions at The Image Flow in San Anselmo and Gray Loft Gallery in Oakland, and screenings at venues including the Roxie Theater.

Through analog processes and cinematic language, Aidan’s work explores self-discovery, memory, and belonging amid social anxiety and cultural division in America. Their forthcoming photobook, Reasons to Be (For the Birds Trapped in Airports, 2025), brings together years of hand-processed photography to reflect on the American landscape and the stories embedded within it.
